Does NCR Counterpoint support WIC?

Can NCR Counterpoint be used for voucher or EBT payments for the WIC (Women, Infants and Children) program?

NCR Counterpoint does not support WIC either with NCR Counterpoint Gateway or NCR Secure Pay.

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) is a federal assistance program of the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).

This program, which is administered by the states, uses either vouchers or EBT type cards which can be used to purchase WIC approved items.   WIC State agencies are responsible for determining the brands and types of foods to authorize on their State WIC food lists.

NCR Counterpoint Gateway does include support for EBT, but this does not include the WIC program and there are no plans to add this functionality in the future.

NCR Secure Pay does not currently support EBT.  EBT support for NCR Secure Pay is being planned (KB873), however there are no current plans to add future support for WIC with NCR Secure Pay.
