Summary:

Error when posting tickets: WARNING: Some events had out of balance distributions.

Cause:

This message is given when a posting occurs and the sum total of the debits and credits posted to the General Ledger accounts is not zero.

Solution:

Go to System/ Accounting/ Reports/ Distributions Report and run the report to review distributions to all accounts for the posting’s event number.

Review the Accounting Distributions Online Help document to determine where the account numbers are pulled from for any transaction type.

Review setup information and make sure only valid account numbers are assigned.

An out of balance error cannot be corrected in Counterpoint SQL. Distributions must be interfaced to the accounting package where corrections can be made.

When interfacing to the accounting package the out of balance amount is posted to the corrections account as defined in the Accounting Interface setup (Setup/ System/ Accounting Interface).

The corrections account must be setup in the accounting package as well as Counterpoint SQL as a valid posting account.
