Manually Entered EBT cards prompt for EXP DATE, but no EXP DATE is printed on card, or cards never expire

Summary:

Manually Entered EBT cards prompt for EXP DATE, but no EXP DATE is printed on card, or cards never expire

Manually Entered EBT cards prompt for EXP DATE, but no Expiration DATE is printed on card, or cards never expire.

Cause:

This is by design. EBT cards do have an EXP DATE encoded on the magnetic stripe, but they are usually decades out in the future, even though an expiration date may not be printed on the physical card.

Solution:

When prompted for EXP DATE on EBT Manual Entry, use 12/49. This should allow the EBTFS transaction to authorize the sale with the processor / issuing bank/state.
