End of Support for NCR Counterpoint versions prior to 8.5.7.x
We are officially announcing end of support for all versions up to 8.5.7.x by 12/31/2023.
Currently, NCR Counterpoint is supported on all versions from 8.4.6.19 and up (excluding 8.5.2 and 8.5.3). Supporting this many versions limits our ability to keep the software current and add improved functionality.
8.4.6.x will go end of support as of 6/1/2023.
Extended support of P1 issues until 12/31/2024
We will be offering extended support for P1 level issues where the store is not able to function in any capacity if a migration plan is submitted to your CAM prior to end of support on 12/31/2023. This migration plan should include your plan for each of your customers not on 8.5.7.x to be upgraded and a confirmed date of when you will have them migrated to that version or the current available version. Your CAM along with pre-sales will approve the migration plan and enable you for extended P1 support only.
Supported versions going forward
Starting 1/1/2024, only the current production version of NCR Counterpoint and the previous 2 releases will be supported. For example, when 8.5.7.2 is released only that version as well as 8.5.7.1 and 8.5.7.0 will be supported. When 8.5.7.3 is release 8.5.7.0 support will be dropped. When 8.5.7.4 is released then support for 8.5.7.1 will be dropped. Etc.
This process is to ensure that we are supporting the latest versions of software and have as many defects fixed out in the field as possible.
