How long is transaction history and card data retained in NCR Secure Pay?

Summary:

How long are tokenized credit card numbers retained on NCR Secure Pay servers?

Solution:

For Customer Card-on-File tokenized credit card information – There is no retention period for card-on-file tokens. Those are associated with customers, not payments, and have defined no retention period. It’s up to the application to remove them when customers are deleted.

For Regular Transaction/Ticket tokenized credit card transaction data - 12 months (as of 2/25/19)

  • NOTE: It is recommended that merchants retain copies of transaction information from NCR Secure Pay for reference.
To download transaction information (with masked card data), log into the Secure Pay Portal, select the batch, and click Download CSV.
