About manually overriding / forcing credit card transactions with NCR Secure Pay

Summary:

Can credit card transactions be forced / manually entering an authorization number in NCR Secure Pay?

Is Voice Authorization allowed with NCR Secure Pay?

Solution:

Attempting to force a transaction could cause the NCR Secure Pay settlement to fail.

If the following error is received, the problem FORCE transaction should be removed (voided) from the batch. 

Settlement error seen due to a FORCE transaction: 

  • BATCH ERR: INVALID MSG FMT+

The Manually Authorize Credit Cards option should be disabled for all users if the merchant is processing with NCR Secure Pay and if they are not using Local Voice Authorization.  

**This does not affect the ability to manually enter credit card payments for processing.
