How to skip the Item Description field for line items on Purchase Requests

Summary:

 How to skip the Item Description field for line items on Purchase Requests

Cause:

A change can be made in the Data Dictionary to have this field skip automatically.

Solution:

1. Go to Setup/ System/ Configuration/ Data Dictionary
2. Choose the System Data Dictionary window
3. Choose the VT_PO_ORD_LIN table
4. Choose the DESCR column
5. Click the Customize column button
6. In the Data Dictionary window choose to make the DESCR column skip by selecting Yes for the Skip option.
7. Click Save and Refresh
8. Exit CounterPoint SQL

When CounterPoint SQL is relaunched the next Purchase Request will skip over the item's description.
