Summary:
System Security Code authorizations include checkboxes to allow/disallow users from making certain customizations in the software.
Is it possible to prevent certain users from creating custom filters or lookups in NCR Counterpoint?
Cause:
Each user in NCR Counterpoint is assigned a system security code. These are defined under Setup/System/Security Codes. On the Authorizations tab, there is a section for Customizations which include checkboxes for:
Customize data dictionary, Customize filter dictionary, Customize lookup dictionary, Customize text dictionary, Customize zoom dictionary, Save customized data grids, and Customize toolbars.
Solution:
In Setup / System / Security Codes / Authorizations, uncheck ’Customize filter dictionary’ and ’Customize lookup dictionary’ to prevent a user from customizing filters or lookups.
